Among other things, you betray envy when you look down on someone. It is said that you should not look down on anybody except to admire their shoes and perhaps compliment them.

2.       When you are possessed by a domineering spirit. You always want to have your way with people in all things, but when you meet your match in some other person, you take offense.

3.       Spirit of unhealthy rivalry. If any rivalry does not benefit you positively, it becomes unhealthy for you. Philippians 1:12-18
