Every poetry if I’ll not be accused of bias is an evidence of a mind surrounded by peaceful ambience of life even in the face of challenges.

Read the poem in words:
ALONE IN THE WOODS. By OKPARA, UGOCHUKWU DAMIAN
To be lonely They say is ‘sad from being apart from other people’ To be lonely You say is ‘finding an inner peace and loving you better’ You are sitting in the woods, alone Your legs curled up in fear Hands clutched in trepidation Face, pale, trying to bury your emotions You are sitting in the woods, alone Wondering what had become of life Hard? Unfair? Or you just can’t tell You are sitting in the woods, alone Watching your heart break in waves Stealing appetite and sleep alike You are sitting in the woods, alone You let your tears flow And then you imagined the woods watered by it And beautiful flowers sprawling up Perhaps, tears are the language the woods understands Now, you are sitting in the woods This time, you’re not alone But with one You are not sure what he looks like All you know is that He introduced himself as INNER PEACE And gave you a new heart to LOVE YOU BETTER!
