A wealthy man that died a month back is having his grave dug by professional grave diggers and therefore, the gate into the palatial mansion of this dead rich man was open and this led to less vigilance on the part of the gateman by the gate. This relaxed atmosphere around this compound gave rise to a shabby-looking man – a mad man eventually – to gain access into this dead rich man’s compound.

He walked up to where the grave diggers were busy doing their thing and eyed them for a moment and blurted out this:

“This grave is not deep and wide enough to contain one-tenth of his clothing. You people are mad!”

That was when the bereaved got the message and started shedding hot tears.

What we are actually killing one another for is not ours at the end of the day. We all get served by the powers of death. If we realized that none of us is getting out of here alive, we would begin to heed Jesus’ admonition to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. All these killings would stop and envy would suffer a quick death.

I pray we make amends and live to please God alone and serve humanity with what we are blessed with while on this earthly sojourn.
